How to Join a Virtual Lesson

Joining a virtual lesson on Connect Education is quick and straightforward. Once a lesson is scheduled, you can launch it directly from your parent dashboard using the built-in Zoom integration. Follow these steps to join a virtual lesson.

Step 1: Log In and Open Your Dashboard

Go to My Account and log in to reach your parent dashboard, where upcoming lessons are displayed.

Step 2: Find Your Upcoming Lesson

Locate the upcoming lesson for your child under the "Upcoming Lessons" section on the dashboard.

Step 3: Click "Start Lesson"

Click the "Start Lesson" button beside the lesson to launch the Zoom meeting and join the virtual classroom.

💡 Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Do you need to install Zoom?
    Yes. Make sure Zoom is installed on your device before the lesson. You can download it for free at zoom.us.
  • The "Start Lesson" button is not showing, why?
    The button activates shortly before the scheduled start time. Check back a few minutes before the lesson begins.
  • Zoom is not opening automatically, what do you do?
    Check your browser's pop-up blocker settings and allow pop-ups from app.connect-education.com.
  • How do you test your camera and microphone?
    Open Zoom before the lesson and run the audio and video test under Settings to avoid any delays at the start of the session.
