What is the Connect Education platform?

It is one app where families find certified teachers, book one-on-one tutoring lessons online, at home or at a public library, message the teacher and follow lesson updates.

Are the teachers qualified?

Yes. Every tutor is a licensed teacher in good standing, and every profile is checked before it goes live. We still encourage parents to read profiles and ask questions before booking.

How much does it cost?

Signing up is free. Each certified teacher sets their own rate, starting at $30 per lesson virtual and $60 per lesson in person, and you see the rate on their profile before you book. For a personalized quote, book a free 15-minute assessment.

Do you offer special education support?

Yes. Many of our educators have special education experience with ADHD, ASD, IEPs, dyslexia and other learning needs.

How do I sign up?

Create a free parent account, add a profile for each child with their grade, subjects and learning needs, then request a certified teacher who fits.

Can lessons be online or in person?

Both. Choose online lessons, lessons at home or lessons at a public library, depending on what the teacher offers near you.

What if the teacher is not the right fit?

Let us know. You can ask for a different teacher, and our team will help you find a better match.

Who can join as a tutor?

Certified teachers in Canada and registered early childhood educators can apply, along with some other qualified educators, subject to review and verification.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. Joining is free. A platform service fee applies only to the lessons you teach.

How do I get paid?

Families pay through the platform, and your earnings are paid out for the lessons you complete.

Can I choose where I teach?

Yes. You choose online lessons, home visits, public library lessons, or any mix of them.

Do I set my own rates?

Yes. You set your own rate and can change it in your profile at any time.

Can I set my own hours?

Yes. Mark your free times in your weekly availability, and families can only request times you have marked as open.

How do families find me?

Families see your profile when your subjects, grades, rates and availability fit what they are looking for. A complete profile with a clear bio helps families choose you.
