Exhibitor at Reading for the Love of It, Supporting Teachers

Reading for the Love of It is one of Ontario's best-known literacy conferences, bringing teachers from across the province together in Toronto each February. Connect Education has exhibited there three years running, most recently at Booth 608 at the Sheraton Centre in February 2026. We go to listen to what teachers are seeing in their classrooms, to share literacy resources, and to show certified teachers how they can tutor on their own schedule without the admin of finding families, booking lessons and collecting payments.

Year-Round Pizza Lunch Sponsor, The Cypher Program's H4

Marilyn has volunteered at Pizza Lunch Day since her son was in junior kindergarten, so when The Cypher Program needed a sponsor for its H4 Invitational, it was an easy yes. We sponsor pizza lunches for H4 Community through the year, fuelling high school leaders and elementary students who learn, grow and lead through dance.

Salsa in Niagara Falls 2026

Salsa in Niagara Falls is TLN Media Group's celebration of Latin music and culture, held with Niagara Parks above the river. We ran a booth for the full weekend, answering parents' questions about tutoring, assessments and IEP support, and booked free assessments on site. A certified supply teacher from Niagara Falls joined us to meet parents directly.

Academic Partner

Work-Integrated Learning at UofT Scarborough

Connect Education was selected as the focus organization for a Work-Integrated Learning project in the Corporate Strategy and Governance course at the University of Toronto Scarborough, Department of Management. It runs inside the academic curriculum rather than alongside it, across two semesters.

Students analyze the business and come back with strategic, financial and operational insights, working from a real company instead of a case study. Marilyn mentors them through it.
