Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Kid2Kid Marketplace?
Kid2Kid is a Toronto-based youth-led event where children and teens run their own business booths for one day, selling crafts, treats, services, and creative products. The 2025 edition is the third annual marketplace, hosted at Beaches Recreation Centre on May 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with over 100 young entrepreneurs and a portion of proceeds supporting Red Door Family Shelter. It is free to attend and family-friendly.
Why does Connect Education sponsor youth-led events like Kid2Kid?
Our mission is to support every part of a child's growth, not just academics. Events like Kid2Kid build confidence, creativity, communication, money management, and leadership skills that classrooms rarely have time to teach. Sponsoring this marketplace is a natural extension of our belief that the best education is well-rounded, and that children thrive when adults champion their ideas. One hundred percent of our water-sales proceeds go right back to Kid2Kid and Red Door Family Shelter.
How can families get involved with Connect Education beyond events?
If you want one-on-one academic support after the event, we connect parents with certified Canadian teachers in every core subject including math, English, French, science, ESL, and special education needs. Sessions are available online, in person, or at a public library, matched to your child's schedule and goals. Book a free 15-minute assessment to learn more about a personalized one-on-one learning plan for your child.
