Pick a subject or a goal, for a child or for yourself. We match on the need, not just the subject, with a certified tutor for one-on-one tutoring lessons.

Falling behind can knock a child's confidence fast. A certified teacher finds the gaps, explains it a new way and builds a plan around your child's grade and school curriculum.

For students who are ready for more. A certified teacher adds enrichment, supports advanced high school courses and helps teens prepare for university and college admissions.

Teachers with special education experience pace every lesson to your child and use strategies that work at home and at school.
Looking for Orton-Gillingham or structured literacy? Add it when you sign up and we'll show you teachers trained in it.

French immersion, core French and French as a second language, for children and adults, even if nobody speaks French at home.

English as a second language for newcomer children and for adults, with a certified teacher who adapts every lesson to your goals, from everyday English to the workplace.

Build skills and calm nerves before unit tests, final exams and provincial tests such as EQAO in Ontario, with practice that matches what your child is learning in class.
Homework apps and AI can hand your child the answer, and many learning centres give every child the same worksheets in a busy room. A certified teacher works with your child one-on-one, sees where they get stuck, explains it a different way and stays with it until it clicks. That's how confidence grows.

Burnaby Schools is the fourth-largest school district in BC, with 27,000 students in 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools. French Immersion spots are given out by lottery each March, so plan ahead if you're interested.

The curriculum, the tests, the school boards and the French options your child's tutor will work with.
Schools follow the BC curriculum. You get at least three written reports a year, two learning updates and a summary at year end. From Kindergarten to Grade 9, progress is described as Emerging, Developing, Proficient or Extending.
The Foundation Skills Assessment looks at reading, writing and numeracy in Grades 4 and 7. In high school, students write the Grade 10 Numeracy and Literacy assessments and the Grade 12 Literacy assessment.
Burnaby Schools (School District 41) runs the public schools in Burnaby. Families with French-language rights can also choose the Conseil scolaire francophone, which runs French first-language schools across the Lower Mainland.
Burnaby students can enter Early French Immersion in Kindergarten or Late Immersion in Grade 6. No French background is needed for either, and places are filled by a lottery held in early March.
