How to Change Your Tutor

Our Team Will Help You Find the Right Fit

If your child's learning needs have changed, your schedule no longer works, or you would like to try a different teacher, Connect Education's customer care team is here to help. Tutor changes are handled through our team to ensure a smooth and supported transition for your child.

When to Consider Changing Your Tutor

There are many reasons why a family might decide to switch teachers, and all of them are valid. Your child may be ready for a more specialized tutor as they advance in a subject. A teaching style mismatch may be affecting their motivation or engagement. You might need to change due to a scheduling conflict, a new subject, or simply because a different approach might work better.

Whatever the reason, switching teachers is completely normal and Connect Education will support you through the process.

How to Request a Tutor Change

Tutor changes are managed through Connect Education's customer care team. Contact us through any of the following channels and let us know you would like to switch teachers:

What to Share When You Reach Out

To help the team find the best possible match for your child, share a few key details when you contact us: the reason you would like to change, your child's current grade and subject, any learning needs or accommodations, your preferred lesson schedule, and whether you want virtual or in-person sessions.

The more context you provide, the faster the team can match your child with the right teacher.

What Happens to Your Current Contract

Once you contact customer care, the team will review your existing contract and the number of remaining lessons. They will walk you through your options, which may include completing your current lessons before switching or arranging an early transition depending on your situation.

Lessons that have already been completed are non-refundable, but unused sessions in your balance will be taken into account during the transition discussion.

Rate Differences Between Teachers

Every teacher on Connect Education sets their own rate per lesson. If the teacher you switch to charges a higher rate than your current teacher, the difference in cost is your responsibility as the parent. The team will always let you know the new teacher's rate before you confirm the switch, so there are no surprises.

Having Multiple Teachers at the Same Time

If your child studies more than one subject, you can have separate active contracts with different teachers at the same time. This is common for families who want specialized support in areas like math and English simultaneously. Each teacher contract is managed independently in your parent account under My Teachers.
