About Connect Education
We are an EdTech start-up connecting certified educators with students across Canada. Our mission is to empower students through trusted mentors and innovative technology.
Overview

The role at a glance

Connect Education is looking for a creative marketer who can both produce content and grow an audience with it. You will plan, shoot, and edit short-form reels, turn raw footage from teachers, reviews, and testimonials into scroll-stopping clips, and use AI tools like Higgsfield (Kling) and Nano Banana Pro to produce video and imagery fast.

Just as importantly, you will own the strategy behind it: building the content calendar, growing our following across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and turning attention into real leads for parents and educators. You will keep our blog, SEO, and email campaigns working together, run light paid social to amplify what performs, and report on the numbers that matter. You will partner closely with the Marketing Manager, and use modern tools (including AI) to move fast without losing quality. The work is hands-on, creative, data-aware, and high-impact.

Scope

What you will own

Content production and video

  • Plan, script, record, and edit short-form reels for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, 8 to 12 per month.
  • Produce AI-assisted video with Higgsfield (Kling) image-to-video for explainer and promo reels.
  • Generate on-brand images, social creative, ad creative, and email banners with Nano Banana Pro.
  • Edit raw footage from teachers, parent reviews, and testimonials into polished UGC-style clips in CapCut.
  • Design graphics, carousels, thumbnails, and stories in Canva.
  • Maintain a tidy footage and asset library so the team can reuse and repurpose content quickly.

Social media strategy and execution

  • Develop and run a dynamic content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Threads.
  • Post consistently across all channels, 3 to 5 times per week, with platform-native adaptation.
  • Shoot and publish native reels, carousels, captions, and stories that resonate with parents and educators.
  • Jump on trending audio, formats, and topics quickly to keep our content current.
  • Maintain brand voice consistency across every channel.

Blog content and SEO

  • Plan, write, and publish 4 to 6 SEO-optimized blog posts per month covering education trends, learning tips, and platform features.
  • Conduct keyword research for parent and educator audiences using Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush.
  • Optimize on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, and image alt text.
  • Manage the blog editorial calendar in Webflow CMS and coordinate publishing timelines.
  • Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and blog conversion rates; recommend improvements.

HTML email campaigns and lead nurturing

  • Design, build, and send HTML email campaigns for parents, educators, and prospects.
  • Write newsletters and nurture flows that address audience pain points and drive action.
  • A/B test subject lines, copy, and CTAs; track open rate, click-through rate, and conversion.
  • Manage email workflows through our CRM.

Community and engagement

  • Nurture brand advocates and encourage testimonials and user-generated content.
  • Identify and manage partnerships with micro and macro influencers (10K to 500K followers).

Reporting and analytics

  • Produce monthly performance dashboards covering social, blog, email, and paid.
  • Track KPIs: follower growth, engagement, organic traffic, blog rankings, ROAS, lead conversions.
  • Use GA4, Search Console, Meta Insights, and CRM reporting.
Requirements

What you bring

  • 2+ years creating short-form video and managing organic social media for B2C, B2B, or nonprofit brands.
  • Hands-on short-form video editing in CapCut: cuts, captions, sound, motion, and on-brand text.
  • Experience producing AI video and imagery (Higgsfield/Kling, Nano Banana Pro, or similar).

  • Hands-on experience writing, building, and sending HTML email campaigns.
  • Strong on-page SEO fundamentals: keyword research, meta data, internal linking, content structure.
  • Strong copywriting in English with a clear, friendly, professional voice.
  • Community management background with a customer-service mindset.
  • Data-driven mindset; comfortable reading dashboards and reporting weekly.
