At Connect Education, all our teachers are certified educators. They are experienced in teaching the curriculum you’re learning at school, and provide a supportive and effective learning environment.
Private, Personalized Lessons
Your lessons are 1-on-1 sessions tailored specifically to your learning needs. This means you’ll receive personalized attention and lesson plans designed to help you achieve your goals.
Check the Lesson Details
- View Lesson Plans: You can view your upcoming lessons on the My Teachers page. Each lesson will include its date, time, and subject.
- Lesson Type: Confirm whether your lesson is virtual or in-person. Virtual lessons will include a meeting link, while in-person lessons will show the location.
- Time Zones: Make sure to check the lesson time in your time zone, as shown in the lesson details.
Prepare Your Materials
- For virtual lessons, have your device ready and ensure you have a stable internet connection.
- For in-person lessons, check if you need any specific materials or books and bring them with you.
Accessing a Virtual Lesson
Finding the Meeting Link
- The meeting link will only be active/clickable during the scheduled time of the lesson.
- Homepage: If the lesson is the next lesson on your schedule, it should appear at the top of your homepage, where you can join directly by clicking Join Lesson.
- My Teachers: You can also navigate to the My Teachers page and locate the lesson you want to join. Click the Join Meeting button next to the lesson details. This will take you directly to the virtual classroom.
- Calendar: You can select the lesson from the calendar and select Join Meeting.
Technical Tips
- Check Your Connection: Make sure your internet connection is stable before the lesson.
- Test Your Equipment: Test your microphone, speakers, and camera to ensure everything is working.
- Quiet Environment: Find a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted during the lesson.
Communicating with Your Teacher
Message Your Teacher Anytime
If you have questions about your lesson, need to reschedule, or want to share something before the session, you can easily message your teacher:
- Click the Message button or the “Chat” tab on your teacher’s profile on the My Teachers page to open the chat to message your teacher
What to Ask About
- Confirm lesson details, such as time or format.
- Share specific topics or challenges you’d like to focus on during your lesson.
- Let your teacher know if you’re having any technical difficulties or schedule conflicts.
Managing Your Lessons
Rescheduling or Canceling
- While students don’t have the ability to directly schedule or reschedule lessons, you can reach out to your teacher for assistance.
- If you need to reschedule, message your teacher or parent about the specific lesson you would like to reschedule, and they can reschedule it for you
Staying Organized
- Use the Calendar page to keep track of all your upcoming lessons.
- Check the Up Next section on your homepage for a quick view of your next few lessons.
